Aroma tdai in Imperial Beach

Had high expectations. Family and I staying in imperial beach. First the one very redeeming thing was the pot stickers with curry sauce. We got ours on the side and it was awesome! Not so good was the chicken pad Thai. Noodles were rubbery and less than great. Flavors were basic and just not that amazing. They also didn’t include any napkins or silverware in our takeout bag. Golden curry was pretty delicious. Creamy and great flavor. All in all I would say basic and mediocre at best Thai food. If you’re used to good or great Thai you will probably be disappointed.

Pad Thai was just.ok, love the yellow curry

The customer service is great. The mango curry, and Thai Tea is some of the best in San Diego. Also Aroma is right off of the beach, so great location.

Awesome food and very good service...

Still not my favorite but their food is so close. I order grub hub from here constantly and their stuff is never on time. Always takes 5 minutes longer than the estimated time. Food isn't horrible but I wouldn't go here if it was not walking distance

I get to eat here a lot since I work close by. I have to say the customer service is always good and they keep the place clean all the time. Prices are convenient and they serve large portions.

Excellent value for money. I like how they have different options for spiciness. Their green curry is a classic and tastes amazing.

The flavor is great it's just the service that's horrible other than that it's still a good spot to get some Thai food.

Food is always freshly cooked, very tasty and reasonably priced. Been going for about 5 years, always good.

This spot across the street from Imperial Beach is nice. Parking is a bit limited. Good is good and pricing is decent.

Best thai ive had in IB. Its a sit down restaurant w parking behind the building. Authentic thai food for great price.

Great Thai place. Never been disappointed. Today I had the classic spring rolls, the delicious tom kha soup and the equaly deliciously creamy avocado curry with chicken and shrimp while celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. First time for her. She loves me even more now.

Not much parking. Service is decent. Food is priced relatively to taste. It was good food, just not the best I've had. Right across the street from the beach.

The food was great. We ordered the pumpkin curry and the avocado curry and the sampler platter. The portions were perfect and the service was excellent.

Staff could definitely be more friendly, but the food is so good this is my new spot for Thai food.

Good Thai food, right by the beach with nice sized portions for the price. Also has vegetarian options!!! I got the green curry with tofu and the curry was spicy, flavourful and creamy.

The Aroma fried rice is different and amazing. The Peanut steak is really good a mist try for steak lovers it is cut in strips though.

I like this place! They serve high class food, their menu is varied, The cook in that spot is very experienced, I like a lot trying all their food. The food is always fresh, the attitude towards the visitors is friendly. I often go to this restaurant and I was never unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Very good value here, I am pretty picky about my Thai food, but while this isn't the greatest Thai place, I think you more than get your money's worth. Good vegetarian options too!

My wife and I have walked by this restaurant and never tried it. Today was the day and I must say that the cashew nuts chicken was absolutely delicious. We will be back.

Went there twice. Food was okay and priced right. Although, their website says they open until 9 pm, make sure you get there before 8:30, otherwise they won't accept new orders. There's more parking behind the restaurant.

Wow... I would have never thought Imperial Beach would be hiding a gem like this place. Great tasting... Authentic Thai food. Customer service was great and if you can make It here during weekdays... Great lunch specials. Did I mention great tasting food

Awesome food. Spice level 6 pad thai was perfect! Flavor was on point. The drive from OB is worth it. Some of the best Thai food in San Diego. Also try the sampler appetizer- fried spring rolls, wontons, and coconut shrimp. Everything was great. The service was quick and they have their own parking lot. You also have a view of the beach from the windows.

There was 7 of us and we all loved our food.

I tried the combination spicy seafood soup, combination pad Thai and the panang salmon. If you like seafood and soup, I highly recommend it.Their combination pad Thai was ok, the sauce was kind of sweet and combination of meat and seafood was barely noticeable. I might have to try just the beef or seafood alone. If you like coconut or fish, then I'd recommend trying their panang salmon!Overall, pretty good Thai food, will repeat again.

DISAPPOINTED :( I’ve been coming to this place for years but yesterday (among other wishy washy days) was a pretty frustrating experience. 40 minutes was how long it took for them to bring out one order of soup when we ordered two only to tell us that they can’t make the other soup for some mumbled reason. It must have been a stressful time back at the kitchen or something but we would have been understanding if they were just honest about why they couldn’t make the other soup in the first place. We were there waiting for so long that we were well aware of the mosquitos hovering at the dirty windows. Chance after chance ... this place disappointed. I agree with the other reviewers - I’ll be a regular at the new Siam Thai Restaurant. ALSO, THEY DO NOT HAVE VEGAN DISHES. I heard someone try to order vegan, but they just can’t promise you that with the ingredients in their dishes since they use fish sauce.

I stopped for lunch for the first time, looked at this place for years. Was very surprisingly happy,. They had a nice selection at reasonable price. Happy to see they had duck, which I chose. Lots on plate!

Good food and service, fair prices. In late summer no a/c since near beach so on hot days they leave doors open for draft which allows too many non-paying customers in (flies)which needs addressing. Otherwise, you'll like it.

We came here one night during our stay. Affordable prices and friendly service. They weren't incredible busy, but they were really slow bringing out the food. We had just about finished our food when the pad thai came out. At first I thought they had forgotten about it and I was like oh well, we're full anyway, but I feel like that's something this place could really improve on, bringing out appetizers asap, then bringing out the rest of the food as close together as possible. 20 - 30 min from the last dish to the others is crazy. Also, they didn't do fountain drinks, just can sodas. I think that could be changed or improved.

Great service and excellent weekday lunch specials. Totally worth a stop. Soup, app, entree, and coffee for under $13.

I have been here on a couple occasions and have not been dissapointed. I always get the green curry with a little spice(7/10) and it is very good. I have not tried the rest of the menu yet.

One of the best thai restaurants I have ever had. The tom kha kai, fresh shrimp rolls and the thai iced tea, great flavor. Clean restrooms and great service.

The food here was average compared to other Thai food I've eaten. I usually order Pad Thai, and theirs was good, but nothing extraordinary. I would've given them 4 stars if it was only about the food, but after calling twice with no answer, I wasn't wowed by their customer service. I had to phydically be there to place a takeout order. Apparently they use something like Grub Hub for ordering, which might be useful info in a voicemail message if they had one. I won't be eating here again.

Love this place! just expect longer than normal wait times for your food. It's partially my fault for ordering take away on a Friday night. My order went in at 17:16 (as listed on my credit card receipt) - I was told it should take 15 minutes - and I walked out with my food at 18:01 (45 minutes total). Food is really good, though, so just know that you will enjoy a good meal.

Soooo good. We are from out of town and were so pleasantly suprised by the quality of food and service here!
